101-8 tent Camping Tips for Beginners
Aug 2nd
I like being outdoors and enjoy nature. When connecting the head on the floor of my tent, I feel safe and peaceful. When I see a deer, a snake or a bear I feel joy and connection. Not everyone shares my convenience. Last summer I took a camping good friend. He'd never camp. While I'm the kind of girl who mows his yard, I'm using power tools regularly, and could probably fix my car in an emergency of life in a condo My friend Carol has her nails and hairtake place twice a month and usually has some macho in their lives. I was shocked when Carol asked me to go camping, but welcomed their company. Our trip went incredibly well, and here are some tips that can help.
Prepare before doing some research online. See what looks like a campsite. Choose a campsite pretty close to home and not too isolated. Check the temperatures, wildlife, recreation and all known threats. If there are animals in the area, could be a threat, like a poisonous snake or bear, learn how to identify animals and what to do if you see a pose. Most likely, if brought in a populated area, you want to see any other wildlife that the boys next door.
According Easy does it. If you want to go with an experienced camper, looking for your first trip is very short. I would recommend a night trip for your first experience. If possible, bring a camp within two hours drive from home. The fact that you are notno drugs marathon-type sports. Take a walk, but keep it less than 2 miles. If you want then another walk, choose a different path than 2 miles. Two miles into the forest is much less than 2 miles to the gym.
Third Keep an open mind. You never know how you feel immersed in nature. Some people feel like they are born for the first time. Other people struggle with panic attacks and cut their trip short. If you prefer not to remember this tripend soon, will be a few deep breaths and see what we can discover the rest of the trip. It 'very common with new campers, joy, boredom, anxiety, experience and enthusiasm.
Fourth Pack light but bring a wide variety of clothes, dealing with heat and cold. willing to let go of vanity. Pack a bathing suit (though I hate the way you look at the shoes), a hot dress (like a suit or a dress in batteries), a cool dress (shorts and singlet), and comfortable.
Select Fifth packs and otherProducts for comfort and safety. You need a warm sleeping bag and place a pillow, a notebook pad under the sleeping bag, drinking water (check with the campsite), a working flashlight, toothbrush, personal hygiene products, bug spray or DEET wipes and nutrition. Many campsites have to pack a list of recommended products. I like to wear pocket screacher a boxcutter, a first aid kit, dental floss or a small rope and a handheld product called a small (which is great to use whenare lost in the woods).
Sixth pack a few things to occupy your mind. Bring a comfortable chair and something non-electric so you can busy your mind. Books, magazines and crossword puzzles are good. It 'also fun to bring an outdoor game, Lawn Darts, or croquettes. Many campers, for the first time, not so much free time and are often used with boredom, if you prepared.
Seventh not to travel alone. If you are single and want to try camping for the first time tryConnect with a group in your area. Many sporting goods stores are even respected groups camping. If possible, always with an experienced camper.
It concerns the eighth. If you and your camping party be afraid at night, sleeping in the car with the windows slightly cracked, doors locked and the keys in the ignition. In this way, everyone can get some sleep ', but do not cut your trip short. If fear and your friends do not, tell someone you are sleeping in the car,Lock the doors and crack the windows, but make sure that your friends have the car keys so they can reach the machine if necessary. Most people like to learn to sleep in a tent, but others feel very vulnerable. Sometimes it's nice to sleep in the car unless they feel safe in a tent.
There is nothing like the peace of laying in a tent and listening to crickets and other wildlife as I fall asleep. The camp is a wonderful, inexpensive hobby. But not for everyone. If you likedCamping, but want a comfortable bed at the end of the day, a reservation at a state or national parks. Many of them have affordable hotel rooms or rustic cabins with access to nature.
Festival Camping Tips
Jul 4th
If you look at a party (if you go for the full experience of the festival), you are always there for camping. Since most bags are just as great camp (and there is just as much as you can contribute) you want to make sure you get the most of Every inch, and not bring some things that are too heavy and unwieldy.
The best advice I can give is to bring several packets of tissues (you can get a great multi-pack with lots of small particles with relatively cheap compared to grapeDrugstores). This may, for the obvious (to clean the nose and cleaning itself), but also as a makeshift toilet paper, which is well known a lot of space to use.
Also, if you are going to a summer as sunscreen is a must. The fact that there will be out for 12 + hours per day (light) should be large enough warning. I saw a lot of people again and again and suffer the consequences of ignoring the sun – you can be one of them! This can be a bit 'contradictory, but I would also recommend taking a pair of "shoes" (ie, rubber boots or overshoes) for the move. The fact that most of the festival and of the most effective large fields with tens of thousands (sometimes hundreds) runs the same agencies MEANS dirt can easily turn into mud (if a certain type of precipitation) and this really angry if you can through them in your shoes nice walk again.

Nothing can ruin a camp experience then more quickly aroused by the tide entering your tent or washing away your belongings.

The best way for a family to plan a camping trip is to; always have a survival list made. That way you could check things off as you go down the list. In order for you to make sure, you have everything, start at the top of the list and work your way down. In addition, be sure to double check just to be sure you have not forgotten anything.
No one wants to go on a camping trip, only to find out that something important was, left at home, like a part of the tent for instance. Without that part, you will be unable to set up your tent, and that can be embarrassing. Also with a survival list, you will not have to spend extra money on something that you already have.
There are certain items that need to be on your survival list, like flashlights for when it gets dark. This way you do not step on something that can injure you. You need your tent and all its accessories, for if your tent is missing any parts. You will not be able to put it up and protect your family from any elements of weather.
In addition, you need to make sure you have enough room for sleeping mats, pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Now back in the cowboy day’s men sleep on the ground, but people today just do not do that. However, if one of the family members forgets their sleeping mat or sleeping bag: then they may have to sleep on the ground for just a night, and that can be painful.
Moreover when planning a family camping trip you will need to bring along fishing poles and tackle, emergency food just in case you do not catch any fish. Be sure to bring a couple of knives and a gun along, for any unwanted animals approaching your campsite. You will also need a big Ice Cooler to put fish in, or drinks and emergency food as well.
In addition, some campsites do not provide showers and bathrooms, so therefore, take a portable shower and toilet with you, and be, sure to have plenty of toilet paper. Never use any kind of leaves when using the restroom in the woods.

Summer is Here and So is Camping and Fishing Season
Jun 11th
Summer is here and so is the excitement of camping and fishing for many young people today. Many adults also look forward to this time of year, where they can take their children or grandchildren out into the wilderness and beautiful parks that we have to offer them.
For many young children, it may be the first time that they get to throw a fishing line into a stream or brook and experience the thrill of catching that first fish. The thrill of feeling the fish nibbling on their line and the excitement and anticipation of waiting to reel it in.
I remember when my Dad took me out on my first fishing trip. We went to the same brook that he went to when he was a kid. Just being there with my Dad and bonding as father and son is an experience that I will never forget. We caught quite a few fish that day and my Dad taught me to only keep the fish that were big enough to take home.
My Dad also took me and my two brothers camping every summer. We would go up to Vermont for two weeks and enjoy the outdoors and everything that Mother Nature had to offer. My Dad also gave me my first pocket knife. It was a Buck Knife that I carried with me always. I used it to clean the fish that we had caught, to cut my fishing line when it would get snagged on something or even just to whittle a piece of wood.
My Dad, he was “The Best”.
So, enjoy this summer everyone and I hope that you can build memories that will last you a lifetime as I have done.
My Coleman Camping Chair, Why Did I Leave You?
Jun 11th
Tent, check! Flashlights with batteries, all working! Jugs, spoons, and plates, all here! Jacket, extra clothes, caps, all in the bag! Matches, utility knife, I almost forgot! Sleeping bag, ok! Hammock, why not? Camping chair, hmmm… My Coleman Camping Chair that I had for Christmas. Should I bring it with me? Naah, forget it! Too impractical! I have all I will ever need.
Sounds familiar? Before a camp trip, we hustle and bustle searching for the right camping equipments. We grab and go, while reminding ourselves of the last camping experience and what we brought along. Typically, our list comprises of the bear essentials, with a few luxury items we can never go without. And most of the time, the camping chair fails to be on that list even as a luxury item.
Most of us consider it best to just sit anywhere. People considers it as part of the camping experience to sit on rocks, logs and tree stumps, while the majority find it more practical to squat, avoiding the dirt. However, whenever we see someone able to sit with ease and comfort in one of the Coleman Camping chairs, we tend to be a little bit envious. And what happens when that person leave the chair? Oh yes, we, who sit on the dust look at each other from the sides, sensing the slightest movement, the slightest hint of intent. Then we walk ever so carefully yet hurriedly towards that small camping chair, and we sit like we have never sat before. I may have exaggerated a bit, but the point is that everyone enjoys the luxury of a camping chair however impractical it may seem at first.
And this scenario usually repeats itself, especially on long hikes. The fast walkers moving too quickly, later realizes that some of their companions are getting weary and wanted to take a rest. So they stop for a while and find a spot to relax. Some sit on big roots, others squat, while a few sit on their ever so reliable camp chairs. “What! Where did that come from?” is the typical response.
Some of other uses of camping chairs, like as an elevated platform for big water jugs is usually overlooked. We only realize the need when it arises. So why not just try to bring it with you the next time you go on a camping trip. You will not regret it.
